Founding Engineer

About the role

Our client is an early-stage AI company building a platform for institutional investors — specifically equity funds — to support research and portfolio management. The product blends data analysis, AI-driven agents, and workflow tools tailored to each client's internal knowledge and processes.

What you'll do

• Build and ship core product features spanning the frontend, backend, data, and AI layers.
• Design AI-agent workflows that support stock research, portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, and knowledge management.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data sources, including market data, research documents, internal files, portfolio systems, and third-party tools.
• Design polished, intuitive interfaces that let investors supervise, guide, and collaborate with AI throughout their workday.
• Work directly with investment fund customers to understand their workflows, deploy solutions, and translate feedback into product improvements.

• Compensation: $150k – $250k base
• Location: New York City, United States
• Engagement: Full-time
